Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle (坚哥港式云吞面) specialises in Hong Kong-style dishes, especially wanton noodle. Chef Kin, from Hong Kong, is a former Crystal Jade chef and has opened several outlets in coffee shops around Singapore. The Bukit Batok branch is located in Get Together Coffee Shop in Bukit Batok West.
Apart from wanton noodle, Chef Kin also serves a list of other noodles, such as braised beef brisket noodle, braised pork ribs noodle, pork chop noodle, etc, and HK-style steamed rices too.
The HK Signature Wanton Noodle (港式招牌云吞面) is fantastic. The noodle dish uses ultra-thin egg noodles, tossed in a delightful sauce, and added with pieces of very tender char siew and two fried meat dumplings. Two fresh prawn dumplings are served separately in a bowl of soup. The tenderness of the char siew is very soft unlike others yet juicy and flavourful. The springy thin noodle has a nice near-crunchy texture too. This is really nice.
The dry-style HK Braised Beef Brisket Noodle (港式牛腩面) is served with braised beef brisket on the same thin egg noodle with vegetable. The beef brisket is nicely-cooked until very tender and the noodle is drenched in savoury braised sauce. The crispy chilli is tasty and a perfect match for the noodle dish. Delicious!
The dry-style Steamed Pork Ribs Noodle (豆豉排骨面) has very tender and flavourful steamed pork ribs on egg noodle. Another nice and delicious dish to go for.
Chek Kin's Hong Kong-style dishes offer different taste experience for similar dishes of Singapore or Malaysia origin.
