Ba 8! is a Vietnamese food stall in Happy Hawkers in Bukit Batok Central. It shares the same stall space with Hao Xiang Seafood White Bee Hoon (豪乡海鲜白米粉), which explains why Hao Xiang's signboard is also on the stall's front.
Ba 8! serves a varieties of banh mi with different meat or with egg, spring rolls (fried or non-fried), BBQ dishes (prawns, sotongs and kampung chicken), and a list of rice and noodle dishes, etc.

The BBQ Pork Banh Mi (Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng) is served with cuts of grilled pork cutlet in baguette with pickled vegetables (carrots and daikon), fresh cucumber and fresh coriander. The baguette is crusty and soft. The tender pork meat is mild-savoury and the crunchy, refreshing sourness of the pickled vegetable make the stuffed baguette very delicious.

The Stir-Fried Beef Noodle (Bún Bò Xào) is not what I had expected — it's not stir-fried "beef & noodle" but "stir-fried beef" and noodle. The dish is served with thin rice vermicelli covered with stir-fried beef, pickled vegetable and fresh greens, such as lettuce, cucumber, spring onions, Vietnamese mint leaves, and sprinkled with crushed peanuts. A sweet-savoury-sour-spicy Vietnamese sauce is served in a separate bowl — meant to be added to the dish based on individual preference (I poured 2/3 and use the remaining as dipping sauce for the beef). Toss the rice noodle and greens with the sauce before eating. The beef slices are stir-fried with shallots, not oily, and is very tender with a nice flavour. This dish is super delicious!

Want non-oily and healthier food? Try the Vietnamese delights at Ba 8! I am very eager to try all the dishes, especially those that I am not familiar with.
If you are wondering why the stall is called "Ba 8!", try pronouncing it. Yes, the name sounds like "baguette", the key ingredient in Vietnamese banh mi (bread / sandwich).
