C'rius Bake is a modern bakery with its main outlet located in Bukit Timah Plaza and a second outlet on level 2 of Beauty World Centre — this post is on the Beauty World branch. The bakery has cakes, sandwiches, tiramisu, sourdough (signature), French pastries, buns and many more.

In the glass shelves for non-chilled items, there are various types of sourdough, wide range of buns, shiopan, various croissants, baguette, cupcakes, bread loaves, English muffin, cookies, etc.

The Multigrain Sour Dough (杂粮酸种面包) is soft and with slight chewiness with lots of grains, like sunflower seeds, black and white sesame seeds, minced walnut, etc. It has a pleasant toasty aroma and the outer skin is not hard despite its appearance. It is nice to eat on its own, as staple in place of rice / noodle, or with melted cheese (for me).

The English Muffin (英式松饼), a yeast-leavened bread that is not commonly seen in confectioneries in Singapore, is sold in packs of 4 pieces each. The texture of English muffin is closer to soft sourdough rather than the "cupcake" muffin that we know. Toasted on one side, the light-savoury bread can be eaten as it is or used as the bread for homemade burgers. This is nice and a surprise find!

The Matcha Red Bean Loaf (抹茶红豆面包), available in half or full loaf, has a pleasant aroma when opened. The fluffy matcha loaf has sweet Japanese red bean paste threaded thinly into the dough with Japanese matcha powder before baking, giving the finished bread a nice flavour of matcha and red beans. The delightful tasting bread can be eaten on its own or with spread.

The Ham Cheese Croissant (火腿芝士羊角面包) has nice flavours from the savoury ham and cheese and also the buttery croissant. It is a tasty treat with flaky layered crust.

On the shelf are also unlabelled jars of kaya. The dark-orange-coloured coconut jam has pandan aroma, nice flavours and low sweetness — probably the most flavourful and least sweet kaya that I ever tried. This is another surprise find and I will get it again in future.

There is always something different to try on every visit to C'rius Bake, especially their sourdoughs, English muffin and different buns.
