Tong Heng / Dongxing Bak Kut Teh (东兴肉骨茶) is one of the stalls in a coffee shop, called Restoran Yong Sheng (永升茶餐室), located right beside Pekan Nanas Police Station along the Skudai-Pontian Highway. The stall serves claypot pork ribs soup in the morning session only.
The single-portion claypot bak kut teh has lots of ingredients that consists of pork ribs, pig intestines, stomach, livers, pork ball and lean meat added with enoki mushrooms, tofu skins and lettuce. The meaty ingredients are fresh and tender in a light-herbal soup that has a nice claypot aroma and pleasant taste. The additional preserved mustard greens is mildly sweet and cruchy.
For bigger group, the portion of ingredients will be adjusted and the bak kut teh will be served in bigger claypot. Other than preserved mustard greens, fried dough can be added too.
Dongxing's claypot bak kut teh is delicious with generous amount of ingredients. Moreover, their prices are really cheap.
