Muar Eat: My Kim Mama (金夫人) Kopitiam @ Pekan Muar

My Kim Mama (金夫人), a Chinese kopitiam-style restaurant, is located along Muar Food Street in Pekan Muar. The restaurant is bigger than what it seems from outside with an inner air-conditioned dining area — the only cool eating place along the food street.

My Kim Mama serves a wide variety of Malaysian delights such as nasi lemak, mee siam, fried noodles, hor fun, mee bandung, lontong, fried rice, traditional toasts, and also western dishes and waffles as desserts. Promotional sets are also available for breakfast.

The Seafood Hor Fun (海鲜河粉) uses medium-size broad rice noodle that is drenched in eggy dark gravy with fresh seafood, such as prawns, cuttlefish and fishcake slices, and greens. The savoury gravy has a pleasant flavour and does not taste like dark soy sauce. The accompany green chilli padi in light soy sauce adds spiciness and saltiness to the dish as desired.
