Singapore Eat: Fatty Ox HK Kitchen (肥牛过桥面档) Beef Brisket Noodle @ Chinatown Complex

Writer's picture: RickRick

Fatty Ox HK Kitchen (肥牛过桥面档) is one of the over-hundreds of food stall in Chinatown Complex. The Michelin Guide-recommended stall serves mainly noodle dishes with roasted delights and also beef brisket noodle.

The Beef Brisket Noodle (牛腩面), added with roasted duck meat, is a meaty dish — the lady stall owner gave me quite a big portion of the roasted duck. The beef brisket, including some very-soft beef tendons, is juicy and tender. The chilli is a mixture of several ingredients that enhances the flavours of the dish without making it too spicy.

The roasted duck is good too! The flavour of the herbs that are stuffed into the duck during roasting is well-absorbed into the meat and not salty. The skin is not fatty and the succulent meat could be separated from the bones without much effort. I love it!

There are still quite a number of noodle dishes with roasted delights to go for at Fatty Ox HK Kitchen.
