Located within walking distance from KSL City Mall in Taman Century, right beside Yong He (永和粿条) which sells kway teow soup, Restoran Yit Foh (益和面家) has been serving traditional wanton noodles with self-made egg noodles, barbecue pork and meat dumplings for more than 40 years.
Yit Foh's wanton noodles are available in three sizes: small, medium and large. Side orders of fried wanton (炸云吞), dry-tossed wanton with sauce (干捞云吞), wanton soup (云吞汤) and other fried stuffs are available too.
All sizes of wanton noodle come with slices of barbecue pork and a bowl of meat dumplings. The egg noodle is delicious, has springy texture and does not get soggy in the wet sauce. Note that a "little spicy" for the noodle can still pack a real spicy punch.
The thin slices of barbecue pork is nicely done with mostly lean meat. The meat slices may seem a little pale, but they taste great with mild sweetness. Needless to say, the meat dumplings are fresh, tasty and "melt" in the mouth although the size is a little small.
The medium-size wanton noodle will come with two servings of the egg noodles with slightly more barbecue pork slices but same amount of dumplings. Order this when really hungry.
To have more of the fresh and delicious wantons, try the dry-toss version (干捞云吞) with dark sauce and some chilli for different flavours.
Yit Foh's wanton noodle and meat dumplings are so good that it is hard not to keep going back to eat them again and again.
