Tien Tien Wan Tan Mee (天天好面) has been serving its signature wanton noodle for over 30 years — since 1960. Its outlet in Taman Century is located in a shared premise with Ba Jie Bah Kut Teh (八戒肉骨茶) during the day and Da Cheng Lok Lok (大成渌渌) in the evening. The premise is barely 100 metres from KSL Resort Hotel / KSL City Mall.
Other than wanton noodle (经典云吞面), which uses their own handmade thin egg noodle, Tien Tien has another noodle dish that uses the thicker mee pok (经典面薄) with same ingredients. Pork Chop with Mee (招牌猪扒盖面) is newly added to the menu as another signature item. Other than noodle dishes, a list of side dishes is also available to complement the meal.
Tien Tien's signature wan tan mee is served with fried wantons, wantons in soup, char siew, fried pork lard, pak choy and accompanied by chopped green chillies. The springy egg noodle, in white sauce, has surprisingly nice texture and the fried wantons and fried pork lard added crispiness to the dish. It's delicious.
The Pork Chop with Mee (招牌猪扒盖面) is very similar to the wan tan mee except that the char siew and fried pork lard are replaced with a thinly-cut pork chop. The fried pork chop, nicely seasoned with black pepper, is tasty. This is also a nice dish. Other than thin noodle, mee pok can also be used for this dish.
The fried Chinese Meat Roll (五香卷), served in two pieces, has crispy skin and savoury meat filling. It is a nice snack to go with the noodle dishes.
Note that ordering of food from Tien Tien is via the same ordering system (counter & staff) as Ba Jie Bah Kut Teh (day) or Da Cheng Lok Lok (evening) — just sit at the table and wait for the staff to take your order.
